1. [+1,069, -33] K-Pop has definitely lost its original energy. Just because an idol member composes and writes his own music doesn't mean that their music is of any higher quality. Nothing's advancing in K-Pop and people are repeating trends set by pioneers of K-Pop over and over in a cycle.

2. [+1,113, -248] K-Pop will remain at a standstill the longer we have groups like EXO who still lip sync

3. [+758, -23] The biggest problem with K-Pop is the composers. Look at the composer behind every idol song, it's always the same name. Duble Sidekick, Shinsadong Tiger, Brave Brothers... and even then, the composers don't win based off of musicality but off of fandom power. We cannot expect high quality music in a generation like this until composers start changing their ways.

4. [+732, -38] So stop training machines and start actually singing

5. [+281, -42] You can tell the dire state of our music industry when a trash song like A Pink's Luv is winning #1

6. [+169, -12] I thought it was just me getting older and growing out of K-Pop that songs these days no longer sounded appealing... but the article's right, K-Pop was fine until 2010 but songs now are like fast food.

7. [+169, -25] The problem with K-Pop is that SM or YG will create something and everyone will start copying it. After 'Sorry Sorry' and 'Gee' became daebak hits, it opened up the hook song boom and real songs just disappeared after that.

8. [+167, -35] As if you can call growl growl a song

9. [+142, -13] SM's biggest issue is that their artists who can actually write and compose aren't given the opportunity to. They force SM's distinctive style on them and give them an opportunity once in a blue moon to stick a song or two on an album. On top of that, the only vocalists they care about are their main vocalists... other members who are perfectly capable vocalists are stuck doing raps or dances and bury their talents.

10. [+141, -18] K-Pop needs to get rid of the pathetic raps... especially YG. Why would they make a kid like Lee Hi rap. It's so embarrassing ㅠㅠ

11. [+118, -11] Idols these days don't care about the music. They're more interested in becoming well rounded entertainers in varieties, dramas, and movies. Albums are just factory punch outs for them to get some extra cash.

12. [+109, -6] K-Pop can talk all they want about how popular they are internationally but it's at risk right now. It's been years since the Korean music market has died. How can a music market survive off of exports? Stop copying songs, stop the autotune, stop the lip syncing, stop the dance focused music and start strengthening the quality of our content.

13. [+91, -7] K-Pop hurts my ears

14. [+79, -4] '90s music is trending again for a reason. Music back then had happiness, sadness, warmth, awakening... songs these days are autotunes, hook songs, and strippers.

15. [+90, -18] It's true. When you listen to songs these days, you literally think of nothing. You feel empty inside. It's why I look towards foreign songs.
